Grounds for Health, an organization launched by Coffee Enterprises in 1996 to take health care, such as cancer-screening and medical treatment to coffee-growing communities, has hired Marcela Pino as administrative assistant. Pino runs the Burlington office of the organization, whose headquarters are in Oakland, Calif.

SymQuest Group Inc. announced the hiring of six new staff members. Matt Brady was named director of marketing and sales for document output products. Peter Slabinski is a graphic sales representative. Glenn Griesser was appointed color account specialist. Rick Zampini is a field service technician in the company's West Lebanon area. Jill Richardson was named network operations administrator.

Yankee Medical announced three promotions at its Burlington location. Tausha Rockwood is now accounts receivable administrator; Stacy Gentile is office/billing administrator; and Mark Milia is systems administrator. New hires include Amanda Webster in the medical records department; Kevin Dansereau, rehabilitation accessibility specialist; and Wendy Bruley, clinic coordinator.

Elisa Fitzgerald was named vice president of business development and marketing for The McKernon Group in Brandon. She was director of the Burlington Discover Jazz Festival and publisher of Vermont Magazine.

North County Federal Credit Union selected the following employees to lead the staff at its new Colchester branch: Theresa Olio, manager; Kathy Griffiths, assistant manager; Brie Husk, member service representative; and Bill Thomas, head teller. All four have been with the credit union for several years.

Business People-Vermont's former production person and feature writer Jason Koornick, who moved to Hollywood, Calif., a year ago, announced a partnership with the Philip K. Dick Trust, for whom he is working as webmaster of www.PhilipKDick.com, the official Web site dedicated to the work, life and vision of the prolific science fiction author. Koornick, a longtime fan of Dick's work, is the prior owner of the site and is now creating his own fan site at www.PhilipKDickFans.com. Dick's stories were the basis for the films Blade Runner, Total Recall, Minority Report and the new film Paycheck.

Alan Huizenga, P.E., has returned to Green Mountain Engineering in Williston as vice president. He worked for the firm from 1994 to 2000 as a project engineer and project manager.

Vermont Housing Finance Agency hired Sylvia White as administrative assistant. She was with a firm in Fredericksburg, Va.

St. Michael's College announced the following staff appointments. Dan D. Tesini, Mark D. Preston and Kathleen E. Powers were named admission counselors. All three are graduates of the college. Corey C. Laster joined St. Michael's as interim director of multicultural student affairs and assistant women's basketball coach. He was with Taylor University in Indiana. Caroline M. Riehl moved from assistant director for alumni and parent relations to assistant director for special gifts in the office of institutional advancement. Caitlin E. Diesel was named assistant director of The St. Michael's Fund, the college's annual appeal for contributions. Angela M. Aja moved from the position of sports information director to assistant director of alumni and parent relations. Colleen M. FitzGerald joined the college as assistant director of the office of alumni and parent relations. TwinState/Voice.Data.Video Inc. hired Joel Charbonneau, a system technician specializing in telecommunications installation, design and implementation, for its Concord, N.H., office.

New England Air Systems of Williston has added three employees. Max Anderson was hired as project designer. He was with Hallam Associates. James Harrington, P.E., is a sales engineer with licenses in Vermont, Maine and Nebraska. Candace Thornton is the front desk coordinator.

Topnotch at Stowe Resort and Spa has named Andrea Derby senior sales manager. She was director of sales at the Basin Harbor Club.

Attorney Dale A. Rocheleau joined Central Vermont Public Service as senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary. He replaces Bob Rogan as vice president for public affairs and Joe Kraus as general counsel. Rogan left in May to work for Howard Dean's presidential campaign. Kraus was promoted to senior vice president for operations and engineering.

Robert Rich Tax & Financial Services has relocated from Dorset Street in South Burlington to 600 Blair Park, Williston. Tony Blake of V/T Commercial represented the landlord, Bredon Realty Corp., and Esther Lotz of Highpoint Realty represented the tenant.

Carol Leggett was appointed development coordinator for Champlain Vocational Services. The organization also hired Jodi Hoh as supported employment/volunteer coordinator and Skip Lucia as a project coordinator.

Bilodeau Wells & Co., P.C., of Essex Junction announced the promotion of Robert S. Palechek, CPA, and Charles Blackmore, CPA, to staff supervisor. Both joined the firm in 2000.

John H. Marshall, chief executive officer of the law firm of Downs Rachlin Martin, announced staff changes. Attorney and director Peter D. Van Oot chairs the Regulated Entities Group; attorney and director Paul H. Ode Jr. succeeds Van Oot as chairman of the firm's Business Law Group; and the firm expanded its lobbying team. External affairs manager Joseph L. Choquette III will lead the team in Montpelier; attorney Kevin F. Leahy will expand his role in government affairs; first-year associate Daniel P. Smith will work in both litigation and government affairs; and lobbyist Sheri Larsen, formerly with the Lake Champlain Regional Chamber of Commerce, joined the Montpelier team as legislative coordinator. Legal secretary Priscilla Smith has an expanded role, assuming some duties formerly performed by a legislative assistant. Attorney John H. Hollar joined the firm as director, and Jennifer Prescott Hollar is the legislative coordinator for the government affairs practice. John Hollar will maintain a full-time law practice in the Montpelier office.

Joseph M. Finnigan, president and CEO of Vermont Federal Credit Union, announced that Chris Pignona has joined the team as human resources and training manager in the Burlington branch office.

Michael D. Thibault was promoted to market manager for Chittenden Bank's St. Albans office. The St. Albnas native has been with Chittenden a year.

Redstone announced the appointment of Realtor status to Duncan S. Harris. He is involved with the sale and leasing of commercial real estate throughout the state. The firm also announced the addition of Michael Marceil as director of property management for the property management division. He has 12 years' experience in real estate.

Rhonda Miller recently joined Franklin Foods in Enosburg Falls as an accounting clerk She was with Hill Associates. Eric Hale was named distribution manager. He was at the St. Albans plant of Ben & Jerry's Homemade Inc.

Otter Creek Engineering announced that Bill Norland, C.P.G., and Jason Barnard have joined the staff. Scott Lehman has joined the firm as an engineering technician. They are in the East Middlebury office. Scott Mathews is a senior technician based in the firm's Rutland office.

The Vermont Symphony Orchestra announced it has renewed its agreement with Jaime Laredo as music director through the 2005/2006 concert season. The contract was due to expire in 2004.
