Von Bargen’s Jewelry announced the appointment of Roxanne Prescott as store manager at the company’s Stratton Mountain Village location. She was retail personnel manager for Mount Snow Resort. The company also announced the appointment of Esther Mihindu as sales associate in its Hanover, N.H., location.

Todd W. Goad, president and service manager of Burlington Communications, announced the company has moved to 4735 Williston Road, Suite 30, Williston. The phone number is 862-7092; fax, 860-6178.

The name of the Vermont Expos baseball team has been changed to the Vermont Lake Monsters. The name was chosen from entries submitted by fans. Champ remains the team’s mascot. Along with the new name, the team will feature new colors of navy blue, Columbia blue and green.

Yankee Medical announced several additions to its team. Christina Rougier is the orthotic and prosthetic clinic coordinator; Patricia O’Dell and Dean Wabuti are intake coordinators. Melissa Whitney joined the billing department; Allen Commo joined the rehab/repair department; Lynsey Provost was hired in the rental billing department; and Patricia Salvas was hired in the collections department. Vincent DiBernardo was promoted to branch manager of Yankee Medical’s Lebanon, N.H., office.

Gallagher, Flynn & Co. LLP announced that Philip Lapp has accepted the position of manager in the firm’s tax practice. He was with an accounting firm in Portland, Ore.

Kenneth Schexnayder has joined Johnson State College as dean of institutional advancement. He was executive director of Vanderbilt University’s advancement communications office and editor of Vanderbilt magazine. He returns to Vermont, where he had been university editor and director of communications at the University of Vermont.

J. Brady Young, managing director at Strategic Risk Solutions, announced the promotion of David Littlehale to director. Littlehale has been with the firm since 2000. He will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of onshore operations.

Bob Fries, president of Bolton Valley Resort, announced the appointment of Glenn M. Crowell Jr. as controller. Crowell was vice president for hospitality and chief administrative officer for Sugarbush Resort.

Hackett Valine & MacDonald Inc. insurance agency in South Burlington announced that Kristina Carr has joined the company as a commercial account representative. Carr has worked in the industry for four years.

Champlain Captive Management Inc. announced that John C. Borch joined the company as senior vice president. Borch was an account manager with AIG Insurance Management Services.

Bear Code LLC, a software development firm, has moved from Barre to its new design/technical business incubator space at 85 Granite Shed Lane, Unit 1, in Montpelier. The company hopes to assemble a consortium of creative companies in various segments of the digital media business, particularly those with a design/technical focus. 225-1331.

Jessica Rotkiewicz has joined Hampton Direct, an importing and distribution firm in Williston, as marketing and graphics assistant. She was an intern with the company.

Lara Ostaric has joined the St. Michael’s College faculty as an instructor in philosophy.

King Arthur Flour announced the naming of three vice presidents. Toni Apgar, consumer marketing director, was promoted to vice president of baking education. Suzanne McDowell, director of human resources, was promoted to vice president of human resources. Mary O’Connell Bihrle was hired as vice president of finance. She held several positions in corporate finance in Boston.

Vermont Teddy Bear Co. announced the following additions to its staff. Jonathan Shenton was hired as assistant art director; Linda Lazarowski was named remote fulfillment vendor coordinator for Calyx & Corolla; Michelle Colling is a photo stylist. Katelyn Adams joined human resources as a generalist; Michelle Guertin was named assistant recruiter/scheduler; Carol Dula was hired as a CS e-mail night lead. Thea Gaudette was named a custom-made customer service lead; Jennifer Sullivan is catalog circulation planner for Calyx & Corolla direct mail; Jennifer Hagett, Patricia Braley, Janet Bessette and Melissa Crowe joined the production team in Shelburne; and Rosemarie Foster, Ronald Boutin, Ashley McCoy and Eva Tabor joined the production team in Newport.

Mark Sekora was hired by the Park-McCullough House Association as operations manager under executive director Matthew Schulte. Sekora was with the Better Bennington Corp.

 Central Vermont Medical Center announced the addition of two staff members. Timothy E. Burdick, M.D., a family practitioner, joined the Montpelier Health Center, one of the medical center’s group practices. Nicole Jeanine Belanger, M.D., joined Mountainview Medical. Belanger did her internal medicine internship and residency at Fletcher Allen Health Care.

Sarah Carpenter, executive director of the Vermont Housing Finance Agency, announced the hiring of Leslie Black-Plumeau as research analyst. Black Plumeau was research analyst at VHFA from 1998 to 2001. She returns to VHFA after owning and operating Black-Plumeau Consulting, a public policy research and analysis firm in South Burlington.

Lang Associates announced the addition of Cindy Le to its accounting department. A graduate of The College of St. Rose in Albany, N.Y., Le is responsible for accounts payable. Bridget Barry Caswell has joined Lang’s team of sales professionals. Caswell was with WCAX-TV Channel 3 for 17 years as a reporter and anchor.

Dawn Terrill, secretary of the Vermont Agency of Transportation, announced that Thomas A. Daniel was appointed director of finance and administration.  Daniel was with the Department of Homeland Security, and with the Vermont and Massachusetts offices of the Federal Highway Administration.

Susan R. Personette has joined Middlebury College as associate vice president of facilities services. She was a project executive for a Massachusetts firm and has been a licensed architect in that state since 1984.

Coretomic, a Web site developer in South Burlington, hired Robert M. Cartelli as western region vice president. He will work in Coretomic’s Breckenridge, Colo., office. The company also has an office in Yaroslavl, Russia.

Bill Desautels of Re/MAX North Professionals announced that Virginia Kittell joined the company as a real estate agent, and Kirstin Toof was hired as an executive assistant.

 Topnotch Resort and Spa announced the appointment of three executives and one promotion. Taking over as resort manager is Mia Diapari, former vice president at the Atlantis Paradise Island. Paula Upton was named spa director. For 10 years, she was a holistic health counselor. Erin Kennedy Knox was appointed to the senior sales manager position. She was director of sales at the Inn at Essex. Doug Barg was promoted to executive chef/food and beverage director. Barg has been with the resort since 2000 as executive chef.

Charlie Kireker and Cairn Cross, the founders of FreshTracks Capital LP, announced the addition of two individuals to the venture capital firm. Timothy C. Davis was named managing director, and Lee E. Bouyea is an associate. 

Bolton Valley Resort hired Chip Schlegel as sports and Nordic center director. Schlegel is the former owner of Petra Cliffs Climbing Center and is a managing partner of the Bolton Adventure Center.

SoVerNet announced the following personnel changes. Jay Bellows was promoted from business sales executive to field sales manager. Dave McBride, the former sales manager, is business retention and inside sales manager. Carmen Schlieder was hired as marketing coordinator. She had worked for a Boulder, Colo., firm. Karen Myers was hired to the provisioning/sales support team in Winooski. She was with Cellular One. Heather Wilson joined the residential sales and support departments in the Bellows Falls office.

Mary K. Parent and Gregory S. Nagurney have joined the law firm of Downs Rachlin Martin PLLC as associates. Parent was with a Boston law firm. She will work in the St. Johnsbury office. Nagurney was with a Norwich firm. He will work from DRM’s Burlington office.

Pamela Matweecha Theresa Dansin

TD Banknorth announced the following staff additions and promotions. Pamela Matweecha was named senior loan officer in Brattleboro. She was with Northeast Home Loan. Theresa Dansin was hired as a mortgage loan officer in Greenwich, N.Y., and Bennington. She was a land surveyor in Bennington County. E. Kirke Hart was appointed regional executive. The former manager of the Rutland region will lead the southern Vermont commercial lending group. Perry Bove was promoted to assistant vice president of merchant services. He is based in Rutland.

Shaowen Wei, formerly of Abacus Automation in Bennington, has joined Hampton Direct as a product development engineer. The company has also hired Raegen Pembroke, formerly of Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, as a retail sales coordinator.

Bruce Willette was promoted to sales manager, global markets, for Ascension Technology Corp. He has been with the company for six years.

High Mowing Seed Co. of Wolcott has hired Meredith Martin Davis as director of finance and administration. Formerly with the Women’s Small Business Program, Davis has had her own business consulting practice for four years.

Leslie Averill was hired as director of the IDX Student Life Center at Champlain College. Averill’s background includes teaching and health club and recreation management. Amanda Crispel was hired as the assistant director of the Electronic Game and Interactive Development program at the college. She has 16 years’ experience in the electronic entertainment industry.

Timberline Interactive, a Web marketing and development company in Middlebury, announced the hiring of Angela Drexel as office manager. Drexel has a background in publishing, most recently as photo editor with In Style magazine and InStyle.com in New York.

Vermont Panurgy Corp. hired Timothy White as director of technical services. White has taught Microsoft and CompTIA technical classes, and classes in computer forensics and desktop applications.
