Craig E. Isvak CPA PLC, a provider of accounting and tax services to businesses and individuals in the Mad River Valley and the Waterbury/Stowe area, announced the acquisition of Associates in Accounting PC at 6 Pinecrest Drive in Essex Junction. The new firm, Associates in Accounting PLC, will be led by Isvak. The previous owner, Michael LeBoeuf, will remain involved at the Essex Junction location, focusing on financial planning as a registered representative of HD Vest.

Linda I. Letourneau of Redstone was the listing and selling broker representing Dr. David Gage and Kathy Gage in the sale of a 1,200-square-foot medical office condo at 595 Dorset St., Unit 1, in South Burlington. The buyer was Dr. Karen Sperry.

Tim Burke of David G. White & Associates Inc., announced the sale of an 11,200-square-foot office/flex building at 1820 Shelburne Road in South Burlington. Burke represented the seller, Evergreen Investments Ltd. Dave Kelly of Highpoint Realty represented the buyer, Fessou Enterprises LLC.

Yves Bradley of Pomerleau Real Estate was the listing broker on 960 square feet at 286 College St. in Burlington. Home Life Co. will be the tenant, offering interior design and decorating services.

Tim Burke of David G. White & Associates Inc., announced the signing of a lease for 3,600 square feet with Fisher Auto Parts Inc. at the 370 Shelburne Road Shopping Center on U.S. 7 in South Burlington. Burke represented the landlord, Evergreen Investments Ltd.; Mike Simoneau of Hickok & Boardman Commercial Realty represented the tenant, Fisher Auto Parts.

Doug Nedde of Redstone was the listing and leasing broker representing The Hall Block LLC in the leasing of 1,925 square feet of retail space at 210 College St. in Burlington. The tenant is The North Face Store, which has expanded its retail operations.

Steve Donahue and Yves Bradley of Pomerleau Real Estate were the listing brokers of 732 square feet in the Kilburn & Gates building at 7 Kilburn St., third floor, Burlington. Compufile Systems Ltd. is the tenant.

Linda I. Letourneau and Doug Nedde of Redstone were co-listing and selling brokers representing William and Carol Heise in the sale of a 2,222-square-foot building at 162-1/2 Maple St. in Burlington. The buyers were Serena Hollmeyer and Spencer Stevenson Taylor.

Triosyn Corp. of Williston and Safe Life Corp. announced the merger of the two companies. The combined company will operate under the name of Safe Life, and Triosyn has become a wholly owned subsidiary. Pierre Jean Messier, the founder of Triosyn Technology, which created technologies for products such as a disposable face mask that protects against avian flu and airborne diseases, will continue as president and chief executive officer of Triosyn Corp. and will serve as vice chairman and chief scientific officer of Safe Life.

Yves Bradley and John J. Rao III of Pomerleau Real Estate were the listing brokers in the leasing of 9,844 square feet at The Brownway Residence on Farr Road in Richmond. The Lund Family Center Inc. is the tenant of the residential facility.

Norcross Safety Products of Oak Brook, Ill., announced the acquisition of New England Overshoe Inc. from Linckia LLC in Williston. New England Overshoe makes NEOS brand overshoes. Norcross manufactures a broad line of waterproof protective footwear and personal protective equipment for the fire service, industrial safety and agricultural/work markets. Scott Hardy, the founder and president of Linckia and New England Overshoe, said the deal presents excellent growth opportunities for NEOS.

Linda I. Letourneau of Redstone was the selling broker representing Listz Historical Restoration Inc. in the sale of a 2,200-square-foot commercial condominium at 5 Andrews Drive, Essex. Dave Kelly of Highpoint Realty represented the seller, Halpin Family Enterprises.

Tim Burke of David G. White & Associates Inc announced that Fleet Feet Sports Burlington has leased 2,504 square feet in the Pearl Street Station shopping center in Essex Junction. It will be Fleet Feet Sports’ first Vermont store. David G. White & Associates was the listing broker for Hannaford Brothers, the property owner. and Steve Donohue of Pomerleau Real Estate represented Fleet Feet.

White & Associates Inc. announced the signing of a long-term lease for 16,750 square feet with Mac’s Market in the Essex Junction Shopping Center on Vermont 15 in Essex Junction. Mac’s Market is a chain of grocery and convenience stores in Vermont, New Hampshire, New York and Massachusetts. Burke represented the landlord, Hauke Building Supply Inc.

Yves Bradley of Pomerleau Real Estate was the selling broker of a 0.79-acre property at 135 Pearl St. in Burlington. The buyer, Meron Properties, will open the first location of a Papa John’s Pizza in Vermont. Tony Blake of V/T Commercial was the listing broker.

Healing Sessions for Women leased 335 square feet of office space at 131 Church St. in Burlington. Meg McGovern of Pomerleau Real Estate represented the landlord, 131 Church St. LLC.

Malcolm Willard sold a 2.4-acre parcel of land at 1100 Hinesburg Road in South Burlington to East Mountain View LLC. John Rao, Yves Bradley and Charlie Poulin of Pomerleau Real Estate represented the seller, and Greg Dirmaier of J.L. Davis Realty represented the buyer.

Grafton Village Cheese Co. announced the building of a cheese production plant and retail space at the Retreat Farm in Brattleboro. Both companies are part of the Windham Foundation. The expansion is in addition to the cheese company’s operation in Grafton. The building of 28,000 square feet will include a cheese production facility with the potential to double expansion in future years, a retail shop, cheese-making viewing area, and office space for staff. Completion is anticipated for late spring 2007.

Vermont Business Brokers represented Jeffrey Warner, owner of Sweet Pea Natural Foods, in the sale of his store in Waitsfield to Carin Fredette, a pastry chef and caterer. The Vermont Chamber of Commerce announced its plans to merge the activities of the Vermont Lodging and Restaurant Association into the Chamber. The VLRA board of directors chose the chamber through a competitive bid and interview process.

Tuesday Morning, a close-out retailer of home products has leased 6,000 square feet of retail space at 2785 Shelburne Road in Shelburne, next to Dunkin’ Donuts. Bill Kiendl of V/T Commercial assisted the landlord, Grand View Farms, and Nick Grimley of J.L. Davis Realty assisted the tenant.

Milliman Inc., an actuary firm, has leased 1,185 square feet of office space at 550 Hinesburg Road, South Burlington, for five years. The landlord is 550 Hinesburg Road Associates. Bill Kiendl and Jed Dousevicz of V/T Commercial assisted both parties.

Dan O’Connell leased 1,700 square feet of retail space at 171 St. Paul St., Burlington, for the establishment of a hair salon. Bill Kiendl of V/T Commercial assisted the tenant and the landlord, Grand View Farms.

Blake represented Robert Toms, the principal of R.A.T., and Yves Bradley of Pomerleau Real Estate represented the buyer.

Vermont Document Co. LLC of Shelburne and Mach One Computers Inc. of Williston announced the merger of the two companies to form Exterus Technology for Business. Exterus provides hardware, software and service for business information technology needs such as computer networking, phone systems, point-of-sale, Internet connectivity, security, copiers and fax/printer solutions. Tim Williams is president of Exterus.

Steve Donahue of Pomerleau Real Estate was the leasing broker, and Bill Kiendl of V/T Commercial was the listing agent for 2,754 square feet at 125 College St. in Burlington. The tenant is Burlington Memory Technologies Inc.

Tiny Thai Restaurant bought the restaurant assets and leased 2,000 square feet of space at 24-26 Main St. in Winooski for a second location. Jed Dousevicz of V/T Commercial assisted the tenant and the landlord, Farrell Vermont LLC.

Eagle Network Solutions has leased 1,000 square feet of office space at 95 College St. in Burlington from Burlington Housing Authority. The company handles technological government defense work. Tony Blake of V/T Commercial represented the tenant, and Michael Simoneau of Hickok & Boardman Commercial Realty represented the landlord.

The University of Vermont has signed a 10-year lease for 4,897 square feet at 30 Community Drive in South Burlington to house a data center. Tim McKenzie of Technology Park Associates, assisted the landlord, and Tony Blake of V/T Commercial represented UVM.

John J. Rao III and Yves Bradley of Pomerleau Real Estate were the leasing agents for 3,649 square feet at Maple Tree Place. The tenant, Keeping Good Company, is a retailer specializing in furniture and household decorative items.

Steve Donahue and Yves Bradley of Pomerleau Real Estate represented the landlord in leasing 12,670 square feet of professional office space at 212 Battery St.

 Tony Blake of V/T Commercial announced that Severn Trent Laboratories has signed a lease for 40,475 square feet at Technology Park on Community Drive in South Burlington. Occupancy is scheduled for spring 2007, following construction.

Sentient Corp., a software technology company, will relocate its offices to 380 Hurricane Lane in Williston. It will sublet a 2,600-square-foot office suite from Gartner Corp. Michael Simoneau of Hickok & Boardman Commercial Realty represented the tenant, and Tony Blake of V/T Commercial represented Gartner Corp.

Doug Nedde of Redstone was the listing and leasing broker representing Catamount/Harbour LLC in the leasing of 7,424 square feet of commercial space to Dale of Norway Inc. at 4750 Shelburne Road in Shelburne. The property is in Harbour Business Park.

Cathe and Ryan McDevitt bought ADD-ON Accessory Outlet from Cathe’s parents, David and Victoria Ross. ADD-ON has sold truck and car accessories for more than 30 years and recently expanded into truck caps, vehicle graphics and lettering, paint protection film, window tinting, automotive performance and mobile electronics.

Vermont Business Brokers represented Scott Mears in the sale of Onsite Windshield, a windshield replacement company in Barre, to YWP Inc. John Beal was the listing and selling broker.

Vermont Business Brokers represented Hubsch Inc. in the sale of Growing Years Preschool & Development Center in Colchester. John Beal was the selling and listing broker.

Atlantic Management Co. Inc. announced that the Employee Stock Ownership Plan and Trust of Pre-Tech Plastics Inc. has acquired an interest in Pre-Tech Plastics Inc. of Williston. Atlantic served as independent appraiser to the trustees of the ESOP and assisted in structuring the transaction.

Jim Baker, vice president of Baker’s Inc. and principal of Business Interiors, announced that Business Interiors has acquired the assets of Office Environments of Maine. The acquisition creates the largest contract furniture dealership with headquarters in northern New England.

Stantec, formerly Dufresne-Henry, announced that it has completed the acquisition of communications system engineering firm ACEx Technologies Inc. ACEx is a 25-person firm specializing in transit, rail and power communications and control systems engineering. The acquisition will add locations for Stantec in Oakland, Calif., and Irving, Texas.

Central Vermont Public Service announced its intent to purchase the assets and franchise territory of Rochester Electric Light and Power. Rochester Electric owners, Tom and Sandy Pierce, agreed to sell their utility’s property and share of the Hydro-Quebec contract.

Green Mountain Coffee Roasters Inc. announced an agreement to acquire all of the outstanding shares of Keurig Inc. that the company does not already own. Keurig is a privately held company that markets premium, single-cup coffee brewing systems for home and office.

Bill Orleans, the owner of PP&D Brochure Distribution, announced the acquisition of the Quiet Concierge. Established in 2003 by Briant Hamrell, the Quiet Concierge is a dining and activity book found in more than 50 lodging establishments in greater Burlington.

Bill Shearer, the owner of Shearer Pontiac Cadillac of South Burlington and Rutland, announced the acquisition of Fitzpatrick Buick GMC dealership. The expanded Pontiac, Buick-GMC-Cadillac dealership will continue to be located at the Shearer dealership at 1030 Shelburne Road in South Burlington. Hummer, now at Shearer Pontiac, will move to the Shearer Chevrolet dealership at 1675 Shelburne Road.

The Rock of Greater Burlington has purchased 3.12 acres of land at Meadowland Business Park from Summer Ice Joint Ventures to build an 8,000-square-foot place of assembly for the church. Tom Heney of Lang Associates represented the sellers, and Jed Dousevicz of V/T Commercial represented The Rock.

Richard Allen, president and CEO of Dufresne-Henry, announced that the firm is joining international design and consulting firm Stantec of Edmonton, Alberta. Stantec, which offers the same core design and consulting services as Dufresne-Henry, employs more than 5,500 people in 60 offices in Canada, the United States and the Caribbean. Through the acquisition, Dufresne-Henry’s Northeast and Florida offices will supplement Stantec’s existing presence in the West, Southeast, Great Lakes and Canada.

Atlantic Tele-Network completed its purchase of SoVerNet in a deal valued at approximately $12.7 million. SoVerNet will become a subsidiary of ATN and will continue to operate under the SoVerNet name from Bellows Falls and Burlington. Richard Kendall was named SoVerNet’s president and chief executive officer, taking over for Thomas Lyons, the former president, and J. Barton Elliott, the former chairman and CEO, both major shareholders. Lyons will continue as a consultant to the company and is expected to serve on its management board.

Downs Rachlin Martin PLLC has entered into a lease to move its Brattleboro headquarters to more spacious accommodations in the Marlboro College Technology Center building at 28 Vernon Street. DRM director Peter D. Van Oot and college President Ellen McCulloch-Lovell made the joint announcement. The fifth floor of the center will provide about 7,700 feet of office space, an expansion of nearly 2,400 feet over DRM’s current space. The move will also allow the firm to upgrade its electronic infrastructure and security systems.

Nancy Hadley announced the sale of The Pour House Restaurant at 1930 Williston Road in South Burlington to the Germani Corp. of Colchester. Jay and Lori Germani of the Germani Corp. plan to retain all the full- and part-time employees, and no major changes are planned in the restaurant. Jay Germani, who was most recently the facility’s manager, said the restaurant will also continue its longtime involvement in local charitable events.
