Samosaman Natural Foods leased 5,000 square feet at Unit 7, Hillside Park, 276 East Allen St. in Winooski. Yves Bradley of Pomerleau Real Estate was the leasing agent.

The Vermont Democratic Party leased 4,000 square feet at 191 Bank St. in Burlington. Yves Bradley and John Rao III of Pomerleau Real Estate were the listing brokers, and Bill Kiendel of V/T Commercial was the leasing agent.

Broker Esther Lotz of Esther J. Lotz announced that L&M Landscaping leased a storefront/display yard in South Burlington from RP & DP Properties. 

Snap Fitness, a 24-hour card-access fitness club, leased 3,000 square feet in the Berlin Shopping Center. Yves Bradley of Pomerleau Real Estate was the listing and leasing agent.

Green Mountain Coffee Roasters Inc. announced it has purchased a 334,000-square-foot building on 31 acres in Knox County, Tenn., for $10.4 million. The site is the future home of a manufacturing and distribution facility for the company, which has its headquarters in Waterbury and a second manufacturing site in Essex. The announcement was made by Scott McCreary, chief operating officer.

Servpro of Burlington/South Burlington leased space at 128 Commerce St. in Williston and will relocate its operation there from 54 Echo Place in Williston. Commercial broker Esther Lotz represented William G. MacFarlane, the company’s president, and Rick Harrison of J.L. Davis Realty was the listing agent.

The U.S. General Services Administration leased 19,761 square feet at White Cap Business Park, 426 Industrial Ave., Williston. Yves Bradley of Pomerleau Real Estate and Steve Donahue of Donahue & Associates were the listing agents, and Bradley and Rob Brunton of Studley Associates were the leasing agents.

Ellen McCartney leased 1,325 square feet on the second floor at 160 College Street to Casey Relyea (center left), the owner of Shear Envy Hair Salon. Linda I. Letourneau of Redstone represented the landlord, and Peter Yee of Redstone was the leasing broker. 

Broker Esther Lotz of Esther J. Lotz announced that Vermont Tire Co. leased 12,300 square feet in South Burlington from RP & DP Properties.

Sizzling Sausage LLC leased 6,400 square feet of office and distribution space to Pharmacy Network LLC. Linda I. Letourneau of Redstone was the listing broker, and David Jacobs of Redstone was the leasing broker.

Broker Esther Lotz of Esther J. Lotz announced that the Bouchard-Pierce appliance leasing corporation leased 6,000 square feet of retail space at the Berlin Mall. The landlord is Central Vermont Shopping Center and Pomerleau Real Estate.

Broker Esther Lotz of Esther J. Lotz announced that Haun Welding Supply leased 5,300 square feet at 71 Armand Lane, Production Park, Williston, from
the O’Brien Family Limited Partnership.

Yves Bradley of Pomerleau Real Estate and Linda I. Letourneau of Redstone were the listing agents on 2,400 square feet at The Maltex Building, 431 Pine St., Suites 314 and 314A in Burlington. Doug Nedde of Redstone was the leasing agent.

Eustis Cable Enterprises, a subcontractor to Burlington Telecom, leased 1,200 square feet at Suite 118 in The Maltex Building at 431 Pine St. in Burlington. Yves Bradley of Pomerleau Real Estate and Linda I. Letourneau of Redstone were the listing agents, and Tony Shaw of Donahue & Associates was the leasing agent.

Cedar Wood Chiropractic and Dr. Suzy Harris leased 1,548 square feet at Suite G-01, The Maltex Building in Burlington. Yves Bradley of Pomerleau Real Estate and Linda I. Letourneau of Redstone were the listing agents, and Esther Lotz of Esther J. Lotz and Sarah Harrington of RE/MAX North Professionals were the leasing agents.

Mark Bennet Classic Cars Ltd. leased 2,850 square feet at 2071 Williston Road, Building 3, South Burlington. Yves Bradley of Pomerleau Real Estate was the leasing agent, and Pat Malone of Malone Properties was the listing agent. 

Noppawan Charoenrat and Sandy Kong purchased the equipment, leasehold improvements, and lease at 88 Church St., the former home of Paradise Burrito in Burlington, for an Asian noodle restaurant. Kong is one of the owners of Asiana House Restaurant. Peter Yee of Redstone represented the buyers, and broker Esther Lotz of Esther J. Lotz represented Doug Stone, the seller.

Sovernet Communications of Bellows Falls, a subsidiary of Atlantic Tele-Network, announced that it has acquired a majority interest in ION, an Albany, N.Y., provider of high capacity communications network transport services in partnership with 12 rural telephone companies in upstate New York. Rich Kendall, the president and chief executive officer of Sovernet, and Jim Becker, IONâ??s chief executive officer, made the announcement.

Lisa Hardy, RN, MSN, a graduate of Yale University School of Nursing, has bought MamaDoula postpartum care service from its founder, Nathalie Kelly. The staff of doulas, all experienced mothers, will continue to provide infant care education, breastfeeding support, emotional support and encouragement, errands, meal preparation, laundry, childcare, and basic pet care. Service will continue throughout Chittenden, Washington, Franklin, and Addison counties. MamaDoula has offices in Burlington and South Burlington. Postpartum care will be in the Eastern View Integrative Medicine practice at 185 Tilley Drive in South Burlington. Hardy is certified as a nurse-midwife and has more than 10 years’ experience in women’s health nursing. She is also a Certified Lactation Counselor.

Union Institute & University and Vermont College of Fine Arts announced they have completed the purchase agreement for the historic, 33-acre Vermont College campus and the three master of fine arts programs in Montpelier. VCFA now owns and will operate the campus and MFA programs as an independent institution. UI&U will continue to operate its bachelor’s and master’s programs, leasing offices and classrooms from VCFA. Negotiations were completed by Thomas Christopher Greene, VCFA’s president, and Bill Kaplan, vice president, community member, and real estate/financial management professional.

After nearly 25 years of leading Jay Peak as president and chief operating officer, Bill Stenger, along with a group of private investors, purchased the resort from Mont Saint Sauveur International. Longtime Jay Peak homeowner Ariel Quiros of Key Biscayne, Fla., was a key figure in transitioning to a new ownership group. Several major capital improvements are planned, including a hotel project with 57 suites, which is under way.

Michael R. Tuttle, president and CEO of Merchants Bank, announced that the bank entered into two agreements, effecting the sale and lease-back of its principal office located at 275 Kennedy Drive in South Burlington. The bank entered into a purchase and sale agreement with Eastern Avenue Properties LLC of Vermont. Eastern agreed to pay $5.7 million for the 2.94 acres and headquarters, operations center, and branch. The bank will lease back the property for an initial term of 10 years and two optional terms of five years.

Mayor Bob Kiss and Richard Haesler, assistant Burlington city attorney, represented the city of Burlington in the purchase of a parcel of land at 17 Myrtle Street in Burlington’s Old North End. The land was owned by Catamount/Burlington LLC, an affiliate of Redstone. Erik J. Hoekstra of Redstone represented the seller. The city will use the land as a community garden or pocket park. Redstone worked with a neighborhood group led by Maggie Standley and Carol Czina to put together a proposal to the city’s Conservation Legacy Fund. Catamount/Burlington sold the parcel at 55 percent of appraised value.

FiberMark, a producer of specialty papers and covering materials in Brattleboro, announced that it has acquired the pressboard business of Brownville Specialty Paper Products in Brownville, N.Y. FiberMark will integrate BSPP’s pressboard grades into its portfolio of office product materials. Anthony MacLaurin is president and CEO of FiberMark, which is owned by American Securities, a New York private equity firm. FiberMark has seven manufacturing facilities in the United States and an operation in the United Kingdom.

Heritage Flight announced the addition of a large jet to its fleet: a Canadair Challenger 604, which will allow Heritage to transport passengers from Burlington, Montreal, Boston, Albany, and elsewhere in the northeastern United States and southern Quebec directly to locations such as Las Vegas and California, Mexican and Caribbean resorts, and Europe. The craft can accommodate nine passengers plus luggage and can cruise at 510 miles per hour.

GroSolar, a provider of solar energy solutions in White River Junction, announced the acquisition of Chesapeake Solar, an installer of solar energy systems in the Mid-Atlantic region. The acquisition makes groSolar one of the nation’s largest solar energy providers. Jeff Wolfe is the CEO of groSolar. Richard Deutschmann and Jeff Gilbert founded Chesapeake in 1999.

LMV Properties LLC purchased a 3,564-square-foot commercial building on .62 acres at 2613 Shelburne Road in Shelburne from Exchange Authority LLP. Rick Harrison of J.L. Davis Realty was the selling broker, and Mike Simoneau of Hickok & Boardman Commercial Realty was the listing broker.

Tim Burke of David G. White & Associates Inc. in Burlington announced the signing of a long-term ground lease with Lowe’s Companies Inc. for the 18-acre Essex Town Plaza Shopping Center property on Susie Wilson Road in Essex. Lowe’s will demolish the existing shopping center building and construct a 154,000-square-foot Lowe’s Home Center on the site. Burke represented Lowe’s in the transaction, and Don Mace of KeyPoint Partners represented the landlord, Cobloka Trust. David White of David G. White & Associates Inc. did Lowe’s permit work, including securing all local and state Act 250 permits.

Bill Kiendl of V/T Commercial leased 1,547 square feet of office space at 100 Bank St. in Burlington to Dwight Asset Management. Kiendl represented the landlord, Marley Properties, and assisted the tenant.

Liblaze Properties LLP bought an 8,938-square-foot office building on 0.45 acre at 137-139 Iroquois Ave., Essex Junction, from Secure Financial Services Inc. Rick Harrison of J.L. Davis Realty assisted both parties.

Glenn and Ronalyn Cummings purchased a commercial property at 80 Ethan Allen Drive in South Burlington consisting of a 4,000-square-foot building and an 800-square-foot building on 0.52 acres. The seller was the Estate of Joseph P. Kelley. Rick Harrison of J.L. Davis Realty was the listing broker, and Mike Simoneau of Hickok & Boardman Commercial Realty was the selling broker.

Scholastic Books leased 5,000 square feet at 472 Meadowland Drive in South Burlington. Jed Dousevicz of V/T Commercial, in association with CB Richard Ellis, assisted the tenant, and Stephanie O’Brien of O’Brien Meadowlands LLC represented the landlord.

Small Print, an international franchising business, has leased Suite 324 at the Chace Mill from Chace Mill Holdings LLC. This will be Small Print’s first U.S. operation. Jed Dousevicz of V/T Commercial assisted the tenant and the landlord. Dousevicz also assisted the tenant and landlord in the leasing of Suite 310 at the Chace Mill to Flashbags, a locally owned business specializing in handmade handbags and accessories.

Tire Centers LLC leased 25,000 square feet of industrial warehouse space at 685 Marshall Ave., Suite 40, in Williston from The Miller Realty Group LLP. Rick Harrison of J.L. Davis Realty assisted both parties.

Fred Musone and Jon McNeill of Vermont Tubbs announced that certain of the company’s assets are being sold to BSF Transition LLC, an affiliate of Brownstreet Furniture of Whitefield, N.H. Vermont Tubbs will continue to manufacture in the existing facility while Brownstreet assesses future production plans. Twin brothers Kyle and Adam Tager and Elwin Wright, the founding partner of Brownstreet, own BSF Transition.

The board of trustees of Southern Vermont College has ratified the sale to Shires Media Partnership, a local nonprofit consortium, of WBTN-1370 AM for $100,000. The announcement was made by Karen Gross, president of the college. Shires Media Partnership will acquire the property, station equipment and broadcast license.

Pilates Space, a Burlington exercise and physical therapy studio, was sold by its founder/owner Pamela Stone Turner, MSPT, to longtime staff members Lena M. Cannizzaro, PT; Laura M. Savard, HHC; and Alicia H. Bronz. The group purchased the business as ALL Wellness LLC, dba Pilates Space. Cannizzaro has taught Pilates at the studio for two years; Bronz has instructed clients; and Savard joined the studio part-time before becoming office manager. They will co-manage the business.

Metalworks Inc. on Flynn Avenue in Burlington was acquired by longtime employee Joe Mason. The welding and metal fabrication firm has been in business since 1989 and has a customer base of industrial, commercial, and individual clients.

The Intervale Garden Center has leased space at the Weaver Hill Building, 450 Weaver St., Winooski, a retro-industrial facility owned by Dubilier Realty. Broker Esther Lotz represented the landlord; Duncan Harris of Redstone represented the tenant. 

LNP Inc. leased a 3,940-square-foot warehouse space to Champ Mechanical at 215 Pioneer Drive, Williston. Justin Martin of Pomerleau Real Estate was the leasing broker, and Rick Harrison of J.L. Davis Realty was the listing broker.

Dinky Donuts leased the Little Red Schoolhouse on U.S. 7 in Middlebury. Duncan Harris of Redstone represented the landlord, Duncan Rollason, and procured the tenant. 

Broker Esther Lotz announced that Phone Directories Co. leased 2,000 square feet at 237 Commerce St., Williston. The landlord is Don Weston.

D.H. Cameron Property LLC leased a 9,816-square-foot office building to Vanasse Hangen Brustlin Inc., dba VHB Engineering Associates, at 7056 U.S. 7 in North Ferrisburgh. Rick Harrison of J.L. Davis Realty assisted both parties.

IV & V Corp. leased 5,400 square feet of office space to hmc2 Advertising LLC in the Goodwin-Baker Building, 65 Millet St., Richmond. Averill Cook of J.L. Davis Realty was the leasing broker, and Rick Harrison of J.L. Davis was the listing broker.

Stonewater Management LLC leased a 4,994-square-foot, Class A office space to New England Life Insurance Co. at 302 Mountain View Drive, Water Tower Hill, Colchester. Rick Harrison of J.L. Davis Realty was the leasing broker, and Steve Donahue of Donahue & Associates was the listing broker. •

CenterPoint Business Advisors of Littleton, N.H., announced the acquisition of Pennock Refrigeration Inc. of that city by Vermont Heating and Ventilating Inc. of Winooski. Pennock Refrigeration is a privately held corporation owned by Stephen Pennock, who will continue with the company for a transition period before retiring. Vermont Heating and Ventilating is led by David Brown and has been owned and operated by his family since 1949. Vermont Heating and Ventilating has more than 120 employees and is a full-service mechanical contractor with commercial specialties in refrigeration, HVAC, and clean-room design and build. VHV will continue to maintain an office in the Littleton area, and Pennock employees will join the VHV staff.

Broker Esther Lotz announced that Recycle North’s appliance division leased 7,400 square feet of warehouse space at 2B Dorset Lane in Williston from Riggs Properties. Pete Bickmore is the appliance division manager. 

Champ Mechanical leased 3,940 square feet at 215 Pioneer Drive, Williston. Justin Martin of Pomerleau Real Estate was the leasing agent, and Rick Harrison of J.L. Davis Realty was the listing agent.

Boloco, a burrito restaurant offering a variety of food, leased 2,200 square feet at 92 Church St. in Burlington. John Rao III and Yves Bradley of Pomerleau Real Estate were the listing and leasing agents.

Yves Bradley of Pomerleau Real Estate was the listing and leasing agent on 1,100 square feet of space in the Waterbury Shopping Center. The tenant is Waterbury Wireless, a Unicel and AT&T wireless store.

Phuong T. Lam and Phil Lam bought 2,574 square feet on 0.172 acres at 1130 North Ave. in Burlington for a market, convenience store, and deli. Burlington Seven Limited Partnership sold a 70,000-square-foot Class A office facility at 100 Bank St., Burlington, to Marley Properties. Bill Kiendl of V/T Commercial assisted the seller.

Bixby & Associates Financial Solutions has relocated its Williston offices to 66 Knight Lane. Tony Blake of V/T Commercial assisted the tenant and the landlord, Mansfield Investments.

Duncan Harris , of Redstone announced the leasing of 2,300 square feet at the Star Mill building in Middlebury by CitiFinancial . Harris represented the landlords, Dierdre Holmes and Jacob Edgar . CitiFinancial is opening 1,500 locations across the country. Jed Dousevicz of V/T Commercial represented the tenant.

KLA Tencor leased 875 square feet at 875 Roosevelt Highway, Suite 115, Colchester. Justin Martin of Pomerleau Real Estate and Greg Dirmaier of J.L. Davis Realty were leasing agents. 

O’Brien’s Salons leased 673 square feet in the Dudley H. Davis Center from the University of Vermont. Justin Martin of Pomerleau Real Estate was the leasing agent, and Allen Josey at the Davis Center assisted.

Bishop Rice Home Association Inc. sold a 7,315-square-foot commercial building on 2.2 acres at 104 Old Colchester Road, Essex, to LNP Inc. Rick Harrison of J.L. Davis Realty was the selling broker, and Greg Dirmaier of J.L. Davis Realty was the listing broker.

Esther Lotz announced that Finish Solutions LLC has leased space at 60 Gonyeau Road in Milton from JBS Industrial Park.

John and Chris Herriman bought the Country Village Campground at 40 U.S. 7 in Leicester. Justin Martin of Pomerleau Real Estate was the listing and selling agent. The new owners will continue to run the business as a campground.

K&S Properties LLC leased 3,167 square feet of office and storage space at 4540 Williston Road in Williston to SVAC Inc., doing business as Sound Vision Audio Visual. Rick Harrison of J.L. Davis Realty was the listing broker.

Green Mountain Harley-Davidson was bought by David Pearson and Debby Bishop of Essex Junction. They recently relocated to Vermont from Colorado.

Vermont Business Brokers represented Dan and Jane Dilena in the sale of their Northfield restaurant, The Red Kettle, to Efrosini Development LLC. John Beal of Vermont Business Brokers was the listing broker, and Sharon Beal was the selling broker.

The University of Vermont and State Agricultural College leased 4,680 square feet at 106 Highpoint Center, Colchester, from Farrell/Antell Properties LLC. Northshire Bookstore of Manchester Center, the state’s largest independent bookstore, announced that it is the first independent bookstore in the United States and one of only five locations in the world to have an Espresso Book Machine (EBM), a full integrated automated book-making machine that can produce a high-quality paperback book in minutes. Northshire provides three publishing imprints that use the print-on-demand machine: Shire Press, for works such as literature, family genealogies, corporate reports, and custom textbooks; Northshire Press, which publishes the store’s own paperback editions of classics that are out of copyright, rare and out-of-print titles and books of local and regional interest; and Northshire Press Facsimile Editions for high-quality paperback reprint editions of rare, out of print or otherwise unavailable works out of copyright, downloaded from archives around the world.

The Green Mountain Inn in Stowe announced that it is adding two 1,800-square-foot apartments to the Mansfield House. Thetwo-bedroom apartments will be designed to accommodate families of four. Patti Clark is the innkeeper.

The UPS Store at 70 S. Winooski Ave. in Burlington was bought by Matthew Wolff of MT Wolff Enterprises LLC from George and Kathy Bevis. Lynne Silva of The Silva Group brokered the transaction.

Summit Financial Center Inc. of Burlington announced a strategic alliance and affiliation with Merrimack Mortgage Co. Inc. of Manchester, N.H. Summit will continue to operate as a mortgage banking entity within the state of Vermont under its business name and from its existing office at 112 Lake St. in Burlington. Mark Severance, the president and founder of Summit, will continue to provide sales and management leadership at Summit.

Albany College of Pharmacy has chosen a 62,000-square-foot facility at 261 Mountain View Drive in the Water Tower Hill Development in Colchester as the site of its new Vermont campus. The pharmacy program will be a four-year professional offering. An estimated 80 students are projected to enroll in the fall, following construction.

Planning, environmental, and engineering consultants Vanasse Hangen Brustlin Inc. announced the acquisition of Pioneer Environmental Associates LLC, a 23-person environmental consulting firm specializing in water resources/storm water planning, permitting, and ecological studies in Vergennes. The firm will do business in Vermont as VHB Pioneer Environmental Associates. VHB provides integrated transportation, land development, and environmental services from 17 offices along the East Coast.

Ownership of Green Mountain Family Practice on Crescent Avenue in Northfield was transferred to Central Vermont Medical Center. The day-to-day function of the office will be unchanged. Doctors Kevin Crowley and Craig Sullivan will continue in full-time practice along with the entire staff.

Mark and Cindy Stenta sold a 1,560-square-foot retail space at 10 South Main St. in St. Albans to Dave Kelly of High Point Realty. David Jacobs of Redstone was the listing and selling agent.

Tim Burke of David G. White & Associates Inc. announced the signing of a long-term lease for 8,560 square feet in a new, four-story, 73,000-square-foot office building at 55 Community Drive in Technology Park in South Burlington. Burke represented the tenant, MBA Resources, a medical billing, practice management, electronic health records, and consulting practice. 

RC Connection, a remote-control car-racing center and hobby shop, leased 1,975 square feet at Creek Farm Center in Colchester from South Burlington Realty Co. Chet Thabault of South Burlington Realty was the leasing agent.

Fletcher Allen Health Care has signed a long-term lease for 52,250 square feet at 192 Tilley Drive in the Mountain View Business Park in South Burlington. Tim Burke of David G. White & Associates Inc. represented the tenant. Pizzagalli Properties LLC is the developer and landlord for this new medical office building.

Don Appe of Marbryk Limited Partnership purchased a 6,000-square-foot, two-story office at 434 Hurricane Lane in Williston from the American Heart Association.
